Forum Engineering Inc. (hereafter “the Company”) took part in the Indian Highly Skilled Professionals Seminar hosted by the Consulate General of India in Fukuoka on November 20, 2025, and Mitsutaka Sekino, Executive Officer in charge of the Overseas Business Department of the Company and Cognavi India Private Limited delivered a lecture at the event.

The seminar was held to commemorate the opening of the Consulate General of India in Fukuoka, and discussions were held on the potential of the Indian market and the hiring and active participation of Indian highly skilled professionals at Japanese enterprises*1. In addition to Mr. Mitsutaka Sekino from Forum Engineering, Mr. Sanjay Panda, Managing Director of IJ Kakehashi Services Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Yusuke Tashiro, Coordinator for the Promotion of Active Participation by Highly-skilled Foreign Professionals at Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and staff from the Embassy of India in Japan took part as speakers, giving lectures on the potential for business and talent exchange between Japan and India from their respective viewpoints*1.

With a wealth of experience gained from being involved in the Indian talent recruitment business for more than 13 years, Mr. Sekino is an expert in building bridges between the human resources at Indian and Japanese enterprises. He pointed out that Japan is going to face increasingly serious labor shortages in the future, talked about the talent being produced by the Indian Institutes of Technology, a network of universities ranked among the top in the world, and stressed the career potential at Japanese enterprises. In addition, he explained hiring processes such as on-campus placements and internship programs, and explained that Japanese enterprises can secure talent provided they strategically take advantage of these processes. Finally, citing the phrase "Come and fail," Mr. Sekino rallied enterprises, saying "things may not go as planned initially but I urge you to try recruiting foreign nationals with a sense of urgency."
The audience reacted strongly, acknowledging the need to start hiring foreign nationals right now, and expressing dismay at the prospect of desperate labor shortages in the manufacturing sector and surprise that human resource exchange between Indian and Japan was an Indian government policy.
The event highlighted the current state of affairs in Japan, where the accelerating labor shortage crisis is still not sufficiently acknowledged. Forum Engineering, Inc. has been quick to notice this issue and is implementing specific projects to support the recruitment and active participation of highly skilled Indian professionals. Going forward, the Company will continue contributing to the resolution of problems faced by Japanese enterprises through human resource exchange between Japan and India.
